‍Age requirements and permits
Renter must be any authorised Isle of Man or UK licensed driver, but excluding drivers under 25 years of age, over 70 years of age and/or with less than 2 years full and appropriate Isle of Man or UK licence experience.

‍Credit card policy
The renter must pay a security deposit of £100, the funds must be available in your account on the day before you pick up, this amount will be held until the reservation is complete. The security deposit is taken to cover all extra expenses that may occur such as late fees, fuel charges, fines, damages and any other extra costs during the usage of the rented car.The security deposit will automatically be held the day before collection of your vehicle and will automatically be released upon satisfactory return.
It may take a few days for the funds to show as available on your account depending on your bank. Should you choose the take the premium insurance a security deposit will not be required but you will still be liable for any other additional charges other than damage.

‍Tax
The Isle of Man value added tax is 20%

‍Pick up and drop off
All rentals will require the booker to collect and return their reserved vehicle from and to either Rex Rental at Ronaldsway Airport, Ballasalla, Isle of Man, IM9 2AS or the Rex Showroom, Unit 2, White Hoe Industrial Estate, Douglas, Isle of Man IM2 1QD or The Isle of Man Sea Terminal, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2RF. On collection of the vehicle the renter is obligated to report any damage not shown on the damage report.

‍Cancel and Reserve policy
Cancellation made more than one week before the rental starts is 100% fully refundable with a £20 plus VAT cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than one week before the rental starts are 75% refundable with a £20 plus VAT cancellation fee. No-show or cancellations made within 24 hours before rental starts are not refundable in any way.

‍TT bookings require a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure the booking. However, this is transferable to other dates should there be any issues. The full payment is then required 2 months prior to collection. Cancellations made less than one month before the booking date are non-refundable.

‍Fuel policy
All cars will be rented out with a full tank of gas. Renters must return the car with a full tank of gas, unless they have prepaid the fuel.
‍
If in any cases renter does not return the car with a full tank and without having prepaid the fuel, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel and an additional service fee of £25.00 for refuelling.

‍Insurance policy
Third part liability is equivalent to the amount stipulated by Isle of Man law at each time. This also applies to the amount of individual driver liability. Third party coverage and personal accident insurance is automatically included in your rental and
in the self-risk liability amount mentioned here below. If for some reason, the renter causes damages to a third party vehicle, any damage to a vehicle must be reported to Rex Rental within 24 hours of its occurrence. If a vehicle is returned with damage the customer is liable for the total cost of any repairs which will be taken at the conclusion of the hire period, up to and including the amount of the excess for each and every occurrence.

If a vehicle is returned damaged the customer is liable for up to £1000 unless the customer has chosen to pay for the premium insurance policy.

‍Wind screen and Gravel protection (WP) Wind screen and gravel protection covers the vehicle against damages to windscreen and paint on bumpers, hood and doors caused by a passing vehicle.

Theft protection (TP)
Theft protection covers the vehicle for theft, and is included in all rentals.

‍Tire protection (TIP)
Tire protection covers the vehicle for flat tires.

AIG Motor Fleet Insurance package 21033400 
Platinum insurance includes all insurances in one bundle with a zero self-excess.
‍
Damages not covered by the platinum insurance package are the following:

* Negligent Driving
* Driving While Intoxicated
* Damage to Undercarage
* Damage caused by driving into water
*Damage caused by nature
*mis-fuelling of Vehicle

Service fees and penalties
Handling fee for fines and other charges caused by renter is £25.00 GBP
‍
Smoking is STRICTLY prohibited in all vehicles. Penalty fee for smoking in our vehicles is £100.00 GBP. If a car is damaged and needs to be towed we will charge £2.00 GBP per mile driven with in 200m radius from our offices. Minimum charge is £2.00 GBP

‍Tachograph
All vehicles are equipped with a tachograph for normal provision of usage of the vehicle during the rental. If a car is damaged the tachograph will be used to download data from the accident or any other occurrence during the rental.

Obligations of the Renter:

1. The Renter agrees to the provisions of this Rental Agreement and has received a copy hereof.

2. The Renter shall return the vehicle:
‍
‍a) together with all parts and accessories (including tires, tools and GPS) in the same condition as they were received by Rex Rental, except for standard wear and tear owing to use; the Renter is liable for the cost of replacing any missing parts or accessories according to the Rex Rental‘s price list.

b) on the date specified under the terms of this Agreement, unless otherwise agreed at a later time.

c) to the premises of Rex Rental, unless otherwise agreed;
‍
d) with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel, Rex Rental may charge the Renter for the amount of fuel needed to fill the fuel tank as well as a service fee under the terms of the tariff of Rex Rental.

3. The Renter shall pay for fuel and other costs needed to operate the vehicle during the period that the Renter is responsible for the vehicle, including any new damage found. Within the meaning of this Agreement, this period does not expire until Rex Rental has registered the vehicle as received in his system, which registration can only be performed during the office hours of Rex Rental.

4. If the Renter fails to return the vehicle at the time agreed in this Agreement, or fails to declare his intention to extend the rental period, Rex Rental or the police may repossess the vehicle without further notice and at the cost of the Renter. Extended rental is subject to the approval of Rex Rental. If the Renter returns the vehicle 29 min or more after expiry of the Agreement, Rex Rental may demand up to a full day‘s rental charge under the terms hereof. For each day begun thereafter, Rex Rental may levy charges pursuant to his tariff.

5. The vehicle shall be handled and driven carefully. Only those registered as authorized drivers on the front page of this Agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle. The Renter is liable for all damages to a third party or their property that will not be compensated for by Rex Rental's insurance company.

The Renter may not engage in the following activities:

a) Driving in or across rivers or any kind of water course. This prohibition does not apply to vehicles which Rex Rental agrees are suitable for such driving, but such driving is always the responsibility of the Renter, cf. insurance terms and conditions.

b) Use of the vehicle that contravenes Isle of Man / UK law and/or the provisions hereof.

c) The renter can not take the car anywhere outside of the Isle of Man without written and signed permission from Rex Rental.

d) In the event of a collision or accident, the Renter shall immediately notify the appropriate police authorities as well as Rex Rental of the incident, and the Renter shall not leave the scene before the police have arrived. The Renter shall immediately fill out a damage report if damage occurs. If the Renter fails to report damage, he shall be fully liable for it. A replacement vehicle is at the discretion of Rex Rental and cannot be guaranteed.

Terms and Conditions for Rex Rental (MVA #135428C)These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the Rex Rental website (rexrental.im) ("Website"), which is an online car rental platform.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

TERMS OF PURCHASE AND PAYMENT. The Range of Terms and Validity

These terms are valid between the person (hereinafter referred to as 'Customer') and the webpage https://app.booklux.com/book/rex-rental (hereinafter referred to as 'Rex Rental online booking') owner Rex Rental Management (Rex Rental) for legal relations while purchasing products and services via Rex Rental online booking.

Purchasing services and products via Rex Rental online booking are subject to legal acts of the Isle of Man, regulating the legal rights in addition to these terms and conditions.
‍
Transactions made at the online booking must be made by a capable person at least 18 years of age. If the transaction is made by a person not according to the regulations, the person whose bank account or credit card is used will be responsible for the transaction.

We reserve the right to change the terms of Ordering Terms, as appropriate, by informing it on Rex Rental website. These changes are effective immediately upon posting. By using this website and placing orders through the e-store, the Customer acknowledges agreement with these terms.

Price

All prices are in Pound Sterling and include the taxes regulated by the Isle of Man Government . Prices shown in the ordering system in other currencies are informative.

Observe carefully the selected price information. Prepayment is obligatory for some prices. If you cancel a price of a prepayment condition, then the service provider has the right not to return the prepaid amount.

The seller reserves the right to change prices displayed in the e-store at any time. All changes will be published on the website https://app.booklux.com/book/rex-rental and are effective from the moment of posting. If a booking is made before the price change is published, the price valid at the time of booking will apply.

Products That Require Prepayment

The product that requires prepayment, selected by the customer from Rex Rental online booking, must be paid in full. By making the payment, the customer assures that he/she has fully read and accepted the terms and conditions provided by the service provider.

The amount shown in the e-store can be paid through internet banks as well as Visa and MasterCard debit and credit payments. Rex Rental is the data controller and transmits necessary personal data to the authorised processor, Stripe, for payment execution. After completing the payment by bank transaction or card transaction, the customer must click the button “Return to merchant” to confirm the transaction.

Booking and Confirmation

When making a booking, you are required to state your name, date of birth, phone number.

If the confirmation email does not contain a link for canceling the booking, the Customer can cancel the booking by logging into https://app.booklux.com/book/rex-rental and clicking on the “cancel booking” link. If the confirmation email is not received, the customer should promptly contact the service provider via email or phone to cancel the booking time.

The service provider will refund the booking amount to the Customer's account as soon as possible, but no later than one week from the cancellation of the booking.

In case of non-arrival or later cancellation, the service provider reserves the right to charge 100% of the paid amount as a No-Show fee.

For purchasing tickets, the customer must first select the ticket and then proceed to the payment page. After payment for the ticket is made, the service provider is not obligated to refund the amount.

Confidentiality

All personal information provided while making a purchase in the online booking is confidential and treated in accordance with the law of personal information. Rex Rental does not disclose personal information to third parties without the consent of the customer.

Obligations of the Service Provider to Its Guests and Terms & Conditions

The customer is able to cancel the reservation 1 hours before the reservation time.

7. Complaints

All complaints regarding the purchase from the e-store between the customer and Rex Rental will be resolved by negotiations. In case of no agreement, the customer has the right to turn to Consumer Protection. In case of complaints and questions not brought out in current terms and conditions, the legal acts of the Isle of Man will be used.

By signing this contract you are agreeing any insured member of the Rex team to drive your vehicle. Rex Rental cannot be held responsible for any costs whatsoever incurred by the customer, or by the customer's vehicle as a consequence of the customer's failure to abide by the instruction information provided.

Your vehicle will be videoed and inspected for any damages within our office hours, the vehicle is still the customers responsibility until this time, and the same upon return.

The customer must at all times maintain valid Insurance Cover & Road Fund Licence Duty on the Customer's Vehicle. In the event of anticipated flight delays or cancelation, the customer should notify us at their earliest opportunity.

In the event that the customer requires to cancel, postpone or early terminate the valet appointment for any reason following the submission of vehicle keys, the vehicle, keys and car parking ticket will be returned to the customer and the appointment will be forfeited.

In such event there is no guarantee the valet has been completed and no refund is payable. The customer must act with the authority of the vehicle's legal owner. If your flight being beyond our office opening hours we have a secure lockbox for key collection. We can only guarantee this service for customers who have booked prior to drop off.

Drop off and pick up times must be adhered to unless agreed otherwise with a member of staff prior to drop off or pick upFull payment is required when the reservation is made, in event of cancellation refunds are only possible with 48 hours notice but will incur a £10 plus VAT cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 24 hours are none refundable.  

iii. Nothing in this disclaimer (or elsewhere on our website) will exclude or limit our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

iv. Subject to this, our liability to you in relation to the use of our website or under or in connection with this disclaimer, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, will be limited as follows:  

(a) To the extent that the website and the information and services on the website are provided free-of-charge, we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature;
‍
(b) We will not be liable for any consequential, indirect or special loss or damage;

(c) We will not be liable for any loss of profit, income, revenue, anticipated savings, contracts, business, goodwill, reputation, data, or information.
